Sunday October 6th was Pastor Heidi Wachowiak's last Sunday at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cambridge. The worship service featured the Youth Praise Band as well as the baptism of Donald Davidson. Don's sponsor was his wife of 62 years, Virginia, and their granddaughter presented his baptismal candle. Following a potluck lunch, there was a brief programme consisting of some memories of Pastor Heidi's ministry at St. Peter's, an anthem by the choir, as well as gifts of a prayer shawl, an Edmonton Oilers hockey jersey, and a gift of money from the congregation. Pastor Heidi leaves us to take a new call at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church-Ellerslie, in Edmonton, AB. Godspeed Pastor Heidi!
