Help us Feed Our neighbours in need – as the cold weather sets in, the Freedom Centre is partnering with the Cambridge Warming Centre to help those experiencing homelessness find warmth, care, and a good meal. We’re looking for volunteers to make sandwiches on Mondays for the Warming Centre in Cambridge. When: Mondays; Time Commitment: 1-2 hours (1-3 pm). Your small act of kindness can make a big difference for someone facing a cold night. To volunteer or learn more, please contact info@freedomcentre.ca. We can spread warmth, hop, and compassion – one sandwich at a time.

Saturday March 14, 2026 – Nith Valley Ministry Area Reconciling in Christ Program. Since 1983, the Reconciling in Christ (RIC) Program has been a public way for faith communities to see, name, celebrate, and advocate for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions in the Lutheran church. Since 2021 the work has expanded to include racial equity and commitment to anti-racist work. To help you begin this work, The Nith Valley Ministry Area is hosting ‘Building an Inclusive Church Training Workshop’ from 11 am – 5 pm, lunch and coffee breaks included. This training is not for rostered leaders, although they are encouraged to attend. This is for any all Lutheran church members with a desire to help our churches become radically inclusive. We will be learning songs of LOVE, RESISTANCE and HOPE together, no experience necessary. All ages welcome with a special invitation to youth and young adults.This is a free intercultural, intergenerational, and interfaith event – open to all! Building is fully accessible – parking is free. Trillium is also close to the LRT and is located on the Iron Horse Trail. Palm/Passion Sunday Worship Service with Holy Communion March 29, 2026 10:00 AM In the spirit of those who welcomed Jesus to Jerusalem by laying cloaks along his way, in place of waving palm branches on Palm Sunday, you are invited to bring textiles (new pairs of socks and underwear – all sizes accepted), which will be donated to The Bridges in Cambridge. This Emergency Shelter is in need of more men’s clothing than women’s, but would graciously accept either. In turn, they would keep some women’s clothing for their clients, but would pass on any in abundance to the women’s shelter in Kitchener. They are also in need of men’s gently used belts – again any size, and these items will be also be collected and then sent to them with the textiles.

The Annual General Meeting of the congregation of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cambridge will be held on Sunday, March 29th, 2026 following the worship service. The meeting will be held in the Fellowship Hall beginning between 11:30AM and 12:00 Noon, following a light lunch. Due to the lack of technical capabilities in the Fellowship Hall, there will be NO ZOOM option for attending this meeting. We apologize for the inconvenience. Per our newly adopted Constitution and Bylaws, formal notice of this meeting will be sent out by regular and/or electronic mail in advance of the meeting. Summer Lutheran Youth Camp (SLYC) – August 30 – September 4, 2026 at Camp Kintail. SLYC is a partnership between Lutheran congregations throughout the Eastern Synod to provide youth a fun, educational, and worshipful experience of intentional Christian Community in an outdoor camp setting.
